Suma,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to pray with you about this situation. I know from experience that a poor work situation can affect our whole life. I will pray for your situation. And know that, while it may seem like it, your situation at your job is not your whole reality. You are a child of God, loved and accepted by God - that is your truth. A song lyric that I knew from years and years ago popped into my head this morning after I read your prayer:

Real life is not what I see,
It's more than the time on the wall
Real life is knowing I'll be
With the one who created us all.

You are in my prayers today, suma!

Peace,
Pastor Jason

Congratulations to Janet, the Mission Team, and all the members of FCCLW on your fine support of Mission 1. It's events like this important effort of our national church that keeps me connected with you.

We had a very successful campaign as well in First Congregational Church of Santa Rosa, CA. You can check our story out at the Mission 1 website: www.ucc.org'/mission 1. Scroll down to the second row to find the picture of a person in the cockpit of an airplane and click on it to see our "planned" and our "unplanned" contribution to the Mission 1 effort.

Yours in the Spirit of being One in our mutual mission and ministry -wherever we may be.
