On Sunday, January 15th we will kick off a period of learning and dialogue regarding our church becoming intentionally Open and Affirming to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. You will meet the team who will lead us through this process and hear a message of encouragement straight from scripture that will invite us to consider truly opening wide the doors of our church to anyone no matter who they are or where they are on life’s journey.
Then, on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM (with snacks from 6:00 – 6:30) on January 25th, February 8th, 29th and March 7th, we will engage in educational and conversational opportunities regarding what becoming an Open and Affirming Church would mean for us, what he Bible has to say about the subject and other topics. Then, at the end of March, we will decide whether we want to make the commitment to become an Open and Affirming church.
